In honor of #TBT let’s chat about my trip to Europe.
An epic end to a year. I finished Grad School!!! Received my Masters in Special/General Education. What better way to Celebrate than a trip to Europe .. My Way!
My first trip traveling alone
. To be honest of course I was scared (who hasn’t seen taken
) but behold the ultimate way to travel “alone”. Contiki a tour group for 18-35 year old helped me travel to London, Parisand Amsterdam.
Safe to say London reminds me of New York, except the underground (their subway) is much cleaner. As a native New York I love my cities hidden gems but that’s a post for another day. HOWever London was great to see but the best experience was the London Eye, the underground, eating at a pub, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and taking the ferry from London to Paris. Okay, so I pretty much enjoyed London.
A Crêpe from Paris. My first Crêpe and maybe it was because I was in Parisbut it was AMAZING!! Well needed during a bike tour of Paris , which I recommend ofor anyone who visits. Highlights from Paris: Dinner and a Show at the Moulin Rouge, bike tour, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame de Paris, “Love Lock Bridge”, Arc de Triomphe, Palace of Versailles and Avenue des Champs Elysées. ( The Louis Vuitton store is to die for)!
The one place many would be excited to visit but unfortunately for me it was a huge culture shock.
If you have ever wished for illegal activities to be legal than Amsterdamis the place you want to visit.
***Message if you plan on visiting****
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RECORD IN THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT!!!
Of course I didn’t know this so I pull my phone out and begin to record. I come across a window that displays what appeared to be “female mannequins” in reality were female workers in lingerie. Safe to add they are beautiful. Seriously, who gets cursed out in the red light district? of course me.
